The Microsoft Kinect controller is an excellent tool for creatin engaging interactive installations. No training or installation is required. The user just stands in front of the installation and the experioence starts.

| | After making the Jukeball virtual pinball, and restoring the antique counterpart of the pinball machine in real life, the idea to make a version of the game you could actually touch, kept growing in my mind.
So when I was invited to come speak at an Adobe Usergroup Meeting in Ghent, I knew the time had coming to make this idea reality. Or at least a working demo of the idea. Many attendees of the conference got their hands on the prototype and the reactions were very promising. Big thanks to Dobit for providing the nice display!

| | As project manager of the Prevention 2.0 project at the Suicide Prevention Center, I am also in contact with the Government Agency for Health & Well-being.
That is how I got the opportunity to create a styleguide for this years Health Conference on Suicide Prevention. I also developed the forum that allowed the flemish public to send in their ideas on suicide prevention in Flanders. Visit the forum here.

| | After winning the Go-for-happiness award with the Prevention 2.0 project, a lot of media attention came my way. You can read more about the Go-for-happiness award here.
There were articles in De Morgen, Het Nieuwsblad and Weliswaar Magazine. The lasts one included an amusing photoshoot with Stephan Vanfleteren. There was also an interview on Studio Brussel and on the Talkshow Goedele.

| | During the last summer months of 2010 I produced a flash pinball game for Tequilla / Agency.com.
The game was part of a launchcampaign for the Nissan Juke.

| | I am a big fan of Pictoplasma, and I have been attending the conferences in Berlin since the very first one in 2004.
But I started creating my own characters long before that.
Character design has always been very important to me. Without characters there isn't much to identify with in the games I produce.
Over the years characters have created a place for themselves outside of the games too.

| | For many years I have been attending the wonderfull OFFF festival, in various locations in southern Europe. There is an abundance of inspiration to be found there, and I have made lots of good friends at the event over the years.
Last year, with the 10th anniversary of OFFF, it was a particulary proud moment, for an onliner like me, when my drawing of the Wondering Dude was published in the anniversary book; Aim High, Keep Moving.

| | Veronika Pot is a very talented and experienced photographer, who makes a point of working solely with analogue cameras. So when she asked me to design a digital logo and website, I'd better make sure it was something special, that connects with her work and world.
It became a logo in negative space.
The website shouldn't draw attention away from the photographs. That's why it even changes color to blend even more in the background of the photo. Read more about the project here.

Fair trade online store |
| | HADHI is a fancy fare-trade design store in Antwerp. In 2010 I made their website with online store. The website included various presentations of their beautiful products, with a content feed via Flickr. Unfortunately the website was recently replaced by a simpler version that is more friendly to iPad users and online buyers.

| | Mid 2009 I made this portable fully autonomous portable installation, thas was to be used as a direct mailing to prospects.

| | I have been taking photo's from abandoned places for many years, before I learned such an activity made me in fact member of a sub-culture of Urban Explorers.

| | I did this project under employment at Proximity BBDO. So this is certainly a team effort. (together with copywriters Bout Holtof and Tom De Block)
For this project I did the technical concept and realisation of the on-board camera installation, the ground-floor video capture unit, the website and other online media, as well as the Art Direction on the whole campaign. The campaign won many awards in 2008, like a couple of Bronze Cannes Lions.

I created dozens of games as a part of large campains for Snickers, Pepsi, NMBS, Telenet.... For these games I did the concepts, but also art direction and design, and the development in flash.

Damage Control System |
| | In 1999 I developed and installed a Damage Control System in Macromedia Flash, for the 3 fregat class ships of the Belgian Navy. (F910, F911 and F912)
Twelve years later, one of the ships is still supposed to be in action, and most lickely still running the Flash 4 player...

| | In 1999 one of the 60 party locations of EarthDance festival, was @ the Cybertheatre in Brussels. Troughout the Cybertheatre and on a moviescreen begind the performers, I displayed a live VJ-show, during the whole concert.
The VJ-setup consisted of 8 seperate themes accompanied by 200 clips, in 3 layers. Everything was controlled by keyboard and mouse. In 1999 it wasn't easy to find a computer that could run the animations at full speed.
